What is a mental typewriter? Mental typewriters either flash letters on a screen for the user to "think" yes or no, or show a whole keyboard on which the user can move a cursor by thought. The latter already works reasonably well today with monkeys as well as humans. Given the problems with navigation, a 25 bits/minute interface can only produce a maximum of two words per minute, though. |
